Inviting day care teachers to 1st birthday party?

I have a son and a daughter that is turning one soon. They both go to an in-home day care. The kids love it there and it's like their second family.

I'd like to invite the day care family to my daughter's party, but I don't want to obligate them on a precious Sat afternoon, or for a gift. But I also don't want their feelings to be hurt.

What is the etiquette here?
